

Elizabeth Reed Grob, 82, of West Creek, NJ, died on January 19, 2011, following a brief illness with her loving family by her side. She was pre-deceased by her husband Richard Grob, mother Hazel McCarthy, and sister Phyllis Stevens.
Born in Brockton, Mass., she lived on Long Beach Island and in West Creek N.J. for the past 50 years. She worked for both the Long Beach Island Elementary School and Long Beach Township Tax office, retiring in 1991.
Surviving are her sons Stephen Sabins of Coral Springs, Florida and Timothy (Susan) Sabins of Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey; sister Joanne Golden of Mechanicville, New York; brother Peter (Maureen) McCarthy of Manahawkin, New Jersey; three nieces Karen (David) Bradley of Scotia, New York, Christine Matthews of Clifton Park, New York and Colleen McCarthy of Manahawkin, New Jersey and one nephew Michael McCarthy also of Manahawkin; four grandchildren: Colette, Hunter, Logan and Cassidy Sabins of Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey and three great nieces, Sarah Bradley of Brooklyn, NY, Emily Bradley of Boston, MA, and Rachel Bradley of Scotia, NY, cousins,best friend Anne Rodier, and her devoted dog, Lacey.
Calling hours will be held at 9:30 am with a memorial service at 10:30 on Saturday, February 5th 2011 at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Popcorn Zoo, PO Box 43, Forked River, New Jersey 08731.
