Gretchen Davis

Gretchen is survived by Russell, her beloved husband of 36 years, her loving daughters and son-in-law; Leah and Thomas Machi and Olivia Davis as well as her cherished granddaughter Aida. She is also survived by her sisters; Robin Smith and Kelly Myers and her many nieces and nephews.

Gretchen attended Southern Regional Middle School and High School and graduated in 1985. Gretchen went on to attend the Ocean County College nursing program and graduated with her associates degree in 1987.

Gretchen was a Registered Nurse and worked in the ICU unit at Atlantic Care Regional Center, City Division and later continued working as a nurse at Access Surgical Center in Egg Harbor Township. She loved being a nurse and lived her life serving and helping others.

Gretchen was involved in a crisis pregnancy non profit organization called Grace Initiatives for many years and recently began volunteering for Starve poverty food pantry in Barnegat, NJ. Gretchen was a selfless woman who always wanted to help others.

Gretchen loved doing crafts of all sorts, going to the beach, reading her Bible and other books, gardening and crocheting. Above all else, her family brought her much joy and she loved spending time with them.

A major part of Gretchen's life was her faith in the Lord. She started attending church at Columbus Baptist Church where she put her faith in the Lord at a very young age. Once she moved to LBI, she started attending Manahawkin Baptist Church where she met the love of her life, Russell, while on a bike trip with the youth group. She later started attending Lighthouse Alliance Community Church in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. She loved the Lord deeply and showed that love to everyone around her. She served, ministered, prayed, worshipped, and dedicated her life to her Savior as a humble servant.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lighthouse Alliance Community Church, 455 US-9 Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087, corner of Giffordtown Ln and Rt 9, on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Open visitation at 10am, service at 11am
