James was a devoted husband and a compassionate, caring father. He was known for his selflessness, as well as his unconditional love and unwavering dedication to his family and work. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering strength left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he touched.
Jim proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, enlisting to serve on the frontlines as a radio field operator in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. He courageously faced the challenges of war with honor and was later honorably discharged from the Marine Corps Reserves in 1974.
In 1971, Jim met the love of his life, Tina, and from the moment their paths crossed, they were inseparable. They married in 1975, embarking on a beautiful journey filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. His love for his wife, children, and grandchildren was boundless, a guiding light that never dimmed.
Following his military service, Jim worked tirelessly as a Diesel Mechanic, earning the respect of his colleagues through his expertise and dedication. He had a passion for working with his hands and took immense pride in his craftsmanship.
Beyond his career, Jim found solace and joy in nature. He loved gardening, fishing, and camping, treasuring the quiet moments spent outdoors. But above all else, the time he spent with his family brought him the greatest joy. He was a man who never hesitated to put others before himself, always ensuring those he loved felt safe and supported. His laughter, wisdom, and loving embrace will be missed beyond measure.
