Jeffrey Thompson

Jeffrey was predeceased by his beloved wife Jean in 1999. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ward Magnusson, daughter Jo Thompson,,his cherished grandchildren; Kevin (Dawn) Magnusson, Jessica Magnusson, Christopher Magnusson (Rachel), Alex Magnusson (Sharon) and Laura Rawnsley. He is also survived by his precious great-grandchildren; Kammi, Kylee, Robert, Brantley, Jaxon, Timothy, Madison and Dayne as well as his many friends from SBYC.

He worked in Human Resources for PSE&G, from where he retired after many years of service.

In 1982, he and Jean purchased their summer home in Beach Haven Terrace, where the family would spend their summer vacations. Upon his retirement, he and Jean made their home in Beach Haven Terrace their permanent residence.

In the early ‘70’s, he and Jean became members of the Spray Beach Yacht Club, where he was a life-long member and past Commodore. He was very involved in the club, up to a few years ago he would still take the time to help out where needed.

Jeffrey enjoyed fishing and boating, he also enjoyed woodworking. He loved spending time with his family.

A visitation will be held from 2:00pm-5:00pm on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ. A funeral home service will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 1300 Rte.130 N., Cinnaminson,NJ.
