It is with profound sadness that the family of Laura Ann Addonizio announces her untimely passing on May 15, 2024. Laura passed peacefully while in hospice after a brief illness with her loving family by her side.
Laura was born on October 2nd 1988 in Barnegat, NJ. Her journey through life was one marked with vibrancy, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends. A woman of remarkable presence, Laura’s small, proud stature and striking, red hair mirrored her vibrant spirit and passionate heart. She inherited her humor and kind-heartedness from a family she adored above all else.
She had the rare gift of making friends wherever she went, touching the lives of many with her warmth, generosity, and genuine interest in others. Her innate ability to connect with people ensured that they never met a stranger. No one ever met and/or left Laura without feeling that they mattered immensely.
Laura was a deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal and oncology massage therapist at Hand & Stone Massage & Facial Spa in Toms River, Marlton, and Manahawkin, NJ. She was deeply devoted to her clients and cherished her relationships with them and they, in turn, reciprocated with devotion and admiration. Her healing hands brought great comfort to those who were fortunate enough to receive massage therapy from her. She was never too tired to help massage away your aches and pain.
The bond Laura shared with her mother, Sharon, and father, Richard, and her siblings was one of profound love and deep caring; but more than anything, Laura’s heart belonged to her fur babies, Niko and Rogue, and her rescued horse, Balius. Her happiest of moments were spent spending time with them, creating memories that she cherished immensely.
Besides her devoted parents, Richard and Sharon Addonizio, Laura leaves behind eight siblings, their spouses and children, Lisa Aiello, her husband, Lance, and their sons, Joseph and Jared, Michael Addonizio and his son, Ryley, Marie Pangilinan, her husband, Alex, their daughters, Alexis and Allanah and son, Alijah, Christopher and his son, Nicholas, and daughter, Natalie, her brother, Paul, Rachele Santos and her husband, Anthony and their son, Miles, and her youngest brothers, Matthew and Dominic.
Laura leaves us with a profound legacy of love, laughter, compassion, and an unwavering dedication and perseverance to all she encountered. In keeping with Laura’s loving, giving, and generous spirit, it was her decision to donate life with her organ donation so that others may live.
The viewing for Laura will be at Thomas L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Rd., Manahawkin, NJ, on Saturday May 18th 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Relatives and friends are invited and welcome to attend.
