Mary (known as aunty Em) was a loving Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a mother first, but in her youth, she worked for the Pennsylvania Rail Road and was a banker by trade throughout her life where she enjoyed many years with co-worker’s who remained close friends after her retirement. Mary also had the great fortune to meet Larry Hinds who became her husband and best friend until his passing in 2002.
Mary loved her God and professed her devotion by serving St. Francis Church as a secular minister. Mary found joy in giving to others and in the fellowship of all the seculars who became loyal friends throughout her life.
Mary was an avid reader, piano/clarinet player, card player and loved going to Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia with her family. Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary loved music and loved to sing, especially at church.
Mary’s entire life was about peace and love of others. She lived that life with tolerance, style and grace.
“Let this be my solemn vow
To take each moment and live
Each moment in peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let if begin with me”
