Michael Hein, 66, of Surf City, NJ passed away Wednesday, February 7, at home, with his loving wife by his side. He was born Teaneck, NJ and raised in Hackensack, NJ, he also lived in River Vale, NJ prior to moving to Surf City.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Alice and his brother-in-law Arthur DeBlasio.
He is predeceased by his parents, Zane and Adele, his brother John and sister Patricia.
Michael worked for 30 years as a splicer for Verizon. Michael and Alice purchased their house in Surf City in 1985 and they would happily vacation there. They moved to Surf City permanently in 2002. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
A visitation will be held from 12:00pm-3:30pm on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin,NJ. A funeral home service will be held at 3:30pm. At the request of the family, burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Michael’s name be made to the charity of your choice or to the Surf City Police, EMS and Fire Department.
