Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Charles, her devoted children, Charles and his wife Lynn and Alison Greco and her husband Antony. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Maggie and Cooper, her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Catton and Jackie Happel as well as her loving nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her sister Rosemary Kelly, her brothers-in-law Renold and Walter Happel and her sister-in-law Joan Happel.
Pat was a graduate of St Aedan’s grammar school in Jersey City and went on to graduate from St. Dominic’s Academy, also in Jersey City.
She and her friends decided to rent a house in Belmar, NJ one summer and that is where she met the love of her life, Charles. After 2 years of dating, they married November 25, 1972, eventually moving to Parsippany where they raised their children.
She was lovingly called Grandma “Happy” by her grandchildren. She was named that since she was always happy and smiling. Her family will always remember her as an outgoing and friendly woman, she always saw the good in people. She was a woman of great faith and utilized her values to bring strength to others. Her family was very important to her and the times they spent together brought her much joy. She happily attended every activity that her grandchildren were involved in.
“MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK” was her favorite quote. In reality, she had more than 2 hands. She selflessly used them to make light work for others.
Pat was a methodical person when it came to cleaning. She took great pride in the life she had built along side of her husband. She enjoyed going to the beach, fishing and cooking. She saved many a recipe so she could try them out on her family. Her beautiful smile would light up a room. She will be greatly missed.
