He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara, his loving children, Bob (Margaret) and Jennifer Gore (Gary) and his precious granddaughter, Riley. He is also survived by his brother, Andrew (Rita) and his loving nieces and nephew.
Ronald proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 until his discharge in 1964.
He received his Doctorate in Education from Nova University.
Ron was an administrator at Ocean County Vocational Technical School (OCVTS), until his retirement in 2000. He served on the Stafford Township Board of Education for several years. In 2018, he became certified as a Community Emergency Response Team Volunteer for Natural Disaster Relief for Monroe County Emergency Management.
He enjoyed boating, he was a Ham Radio operator and he belonged to the Old Barney Amateur Radio Club. He also enjoyed doing woodworking and photography. His most cherished times were the times spent with his family.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 2:00pm-6:00pm at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Long Beach Blvd. Brant Beach with burial to follow at Lake Nelson Cemetery, 606 S. Randolphville Rd., Piscataway.
