Ruth M. Gentore

Ruth M. Gentore (Besecker) of Manahawkin, NJ passed away, peacefully, on November 22, 2024. She now joins her loving husband Joseph F. Gentore, who passed away on February 20, 2024. Ruth is survived by her 4 children, Christina (and Richard) Vreeland, Claudia (and Brian) Reddy, Clarissa (and Donald) Bousquet, and Frank (and Deanna) Gentore. She is also survived 6 grandchildren, Tanya (and Joseph) D’Agostino, Erin (and Michael) Klauder, Michael Reddy, Joseph Reddy, Kendall Gentore, and Kaylee Gentore; 2 step-grandchildren Jordan Raley and Thomas Raley Jr. ; and 3 great grandchildren, Emiliana D’Agostino, Vivian Klauder and Grayson Klauder.

Ruth & Joseph (Joe) were married on May 4, 1963. They lived in Spotswood, NJ for 36 years, where they raised their family, hosted holidays and many family gatherings.

During their 60 years together, Ruth & Joe had a special love of Italy. They enjoyed many trips to Italy, including spending a full year there to celebrate their retirements. They especially enjoyed having their children and grandchildren join them on some of these trips.

Ruth retired from Dow Jones, Inc., where she worked as an Executive Assistant, in 2000. Prior to working at Dow Jones, Ruth worked for Spotswood Public Schools. Joe worked as a Professional Planner for the township of Edison, NJ and was self-employed as a Professional Land Surveyor. Joe also retired as a land surveyor in 2000.

Both Ruth and Joe will be deeply missed by their family and friends. A private service will be held in Ruth’s honor.
