Wayne was predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth.
He is survived by his loving children; Mary Reed and her companion Neil, Stephen Purul and his wife Christine, Kristin Byrnes and her husband Bob and Ryan Purul and his wife Erin. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Kristina, Kenny, Bobby, Ryan, Kelly, Cali, Irelynn and Stephen, Gillian, his precious great granddaughter Ava and his companion Rose Mullan.
He enjoyed fishing, sight-seeing, boats and lighthouses.
Wayne was the owner and operator of a Sunoco Gas Station in Philadelphia. He worked in the service department of Causeway Auto for many years.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ
