Adelina Liberman

She was born on July 9, 1957 in Kishinev, Moldova, and immigrated with her family to New Jersey in 1991, which she called home for over three decades.

Adelina was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. She cherished time with her family and friends, and loved nothing more than having everyone gathered around her table. She was a wonderful cook and took great joy in feeding the people she loved. She took pride in her garden, tending her flowers and growing her own vegetables. And to her grandsons, Alec and Jacob, she was simply the best babulya.

Adelina is survived by her husband David Stepanyants; her son Maxim Liberman and his wife Katie, and her grandchildren Alec and Jacob Liberman; her sister Sofia Brand and her husband Samuel. She was predeceased by her first husband Alex Liberman and her parents Gersh and Khavus "Larissa" Takhman.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on February 27, 2026 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726. Friends and extended family should arrive between 10:15 am and 10:45 am. The burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095.

No public shiva will be observed.
