She grew up in a cold water flat in the Bronx during the depression, marrying her high school sweetheart when he returned from WWII. Together they built a beautiful life. She was excited to celebrate her 100th birthday in October 2025. It was a huge shindig attended by everyone who loved her, near and far.
She is survived by her three daughters, Audrey Wile, Caren Glickson & Jan Schorr (John Cannon); her grandchildren Matthew Sklerov (Sheila Sklerov), Farrell Sklerov (Ellie Sklerov), Andrew Sklerov (Dr. Miriam Sklerov), Kyle Sklerov (Kate Hilliard) and Marion Glickson. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Sebastian, Aiden, Morrison, Oliver, Adam, Zephan, and Meir.
Her beloved husband, Morris Schorr, preceded her in death in 1997. She was also predeceased by her sisters Mollie Harrison and Blanche Madiol, and her brother Jacob Cohen.
She loved engaging with her friends, whether playing cards, playing Mah-Jongg, dancing or traveling. She was an expert Rummikub player until the end. She devoured books and loved watching old time movies. She was beloved by everyone at Maplewood Senior Living, where she went to live in 2019, just before the pandemic hit. She will be missed.
