Eva Smilowitz

Born in Opola, Poland, she lived in Cuba before coming to the United States in 1951. Mrs. Smilowitz lived in the Brownsville and Canarsie sections of Brooklyn, and later Union City. She then moved to the Covered Bridge development in Manalapan, where she lived for 13 years until becoming a resident of Brookside Assisted Living 5 years abo.

Mrs. Smilowitz was a member of the Independent Opoler Benevolent Society.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Ana Bucher and Rose Korn.

Surviving are her husband Hector; 2 sons Stanley Smilowitz of Germantown, TN and Dr. Daniel Smilowitz and his wife Dr. Elissa Koplik of East Brunswick; and 4 grandchildren: Sarah Dawn Smilowitz, Jessica Rachel Smilowitz, Andrew Harris Smilowitz and Stephen Todd Smilowitz.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 9:00 am at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan (FOR GPS PURPOSES, PLEASE USE 44 WILSON AVENUE, ENGLISHTOWN, NJ 07726). Interment will follow at Wellwood Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
