Joel is survived by his beloved children; Lauren Newman and her husband Todd of Manalapan, NJ, Stephanie Sherman of Brooklyn, NY, and Ryan Sherman of Brooklyn, NY, his brother Alan Sherman, and his two loving grandchildren; Jocelyn and Greyson Newman.
Funeral Services will be held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Marlboro, NJ.
The family will be sitting shiva at Joel's home on Tuesday after the burial, Wednesday from 1-4pm, and 7-9pm, Thursday from 4-9pm, and Friday from 1-5pm.
In Lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in his memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
