

Lawrence Kasloff, 88, of Monroe Township, passed away on Monday, December 21st, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Yvette (Reiser) and their two children Stewart Kasloff of New York City and Nadine Bennett of Monroe Township. His son Steven passed away in 2007.
Mr. Kasloff worked as a resident fur buyer in New York City and for the U.S. Postal Service in Manhattan.
Mr. Kasloff, the son of Mac and Estelle Kasloff, grew up in Brooklyn, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of The Jewish War Veterans.
He raised his family in the Bronx and then Old Bridge, New Jersey and moved to the Clearbrook Community of Monroe Township in 1993.
He was an active member of the Chabad House of Monroe Township and was proud to be a Kohen.
Mr. Kasloff was the past treasurer of the Clearbrook billiards club and spent many happy days at the clubhouse playing billiards, cards and spending time with friends. Mr. Kasloff also loved to garden. He was an avid sports fan and was passionate about the New York Mets and the New York (football) Giants.
Mr. Kasloff was a special man, a devoted, loving husband and a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Anyone who knew him immediately liked him for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and willingness to help whenever needed. He was indeed a true Mensch!
Mr. Kasloff was predeceased by his parents and his brother Edward. He is also survived by his two grandchildren Michael Bennett (Laurie) of Passaic, New Jersey, Melanie Bennett of Plainsboro, New Jersey, and three great-granddaughters, Shoshana, Arielle, and Atara Bennett.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 at 11:00AM at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels in Manalapan, NJ. Burial will follow at King Solomon Cemetery in Clifton, NJ. The family will be sitting Shiva at 600 B Madison Drive, Monroe Township, NJ, Wednesday after the burial through Tuesday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mr. Kasloff's memory to the Chabad House of Monroe Township, 352 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township, New Jersey 08831.
