Born in Romania, he immigrated to Paris, France and then to Toronto, before moving to Marlboro in 1980.
Mr. Stier received his BA from the University of Toronto, and his MS from Columbia University. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for AT&T in Holmdel, NJ.
Surviving are his wife Barbara, his three sons and daughters-in-law; Daniel and Melissa Stier of Cockeysville, MD, Scott and Suzanne Adler of Freehold, NJ, and Michael and Blair Adler of Wynnewood, PA, and his four grandchildren; Brynn Adler, Jack Adler, Jacob Adler and Jared Stier.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels in Manalapan, NJ. Interment will follow at Beth El Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
