Born in New York City he was raised in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Rockville Center, Long Island before moving to Monroe Twp.
Marvin served in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded 2 Bronze Stars for his valor on the battlefield.
Mr. Bachman was a self-employed C.P.A as well as a pioneer in IBM computers and a college professor all over New York.
Surviving is his wife Harriet (Mandler) of 67 years, his sons Jay and his wife Carol, William and his wife Megan and his daughter Amy and his 4 grandchildren Valerie and her husband Kevin, Miranda, Alanna and her husband Ian and Jonah.
Funeral services for Marvin will be held Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM, at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapel, 44 Wilson Ave, Manalapan, NJ followed by a committal service at Beth Israel Cemetery, Mausoleum, 1075 Woodbridge Dr., Woodbridge, NJ at 1:00PM.
Shiva will be held at Marvin & Harriet Bachman’s home, 16 Halifax Dr., Monroe Twp., NJ on Sunday 7-9pm, Monday & Tuesday 1pm-3pm & 7pm-9pm and Wednesday 1pm-3pm.
