Robert is survived by his wife Phyllis Reiter Cohen of 45 years and his brother Gerald Cohen (Shelly).
Robert was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Rose Cohen.
A graveside service will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095, on April 19, 2026, at 10:30 am. Friends and extended family should arrive at the cemetery office between 10:00 am - 10:15 am for the 10:30 am funeral service.
Shiva will be observed at the Lopater residence on Sunday after the burial as well as Monday and Tuesday from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
