Born in the Bronx and raised in Brooklyn by her parents Bessie and Sam Solomon, Roberta grew up in a home filled with love and wonderful memories along with her sister Sheila, who was affectionately known as Chickee. She married the love of her life, Robert, and together they raised their three children, Hillary, Craig, and Andrew in Jericho, New York. They built a beautiful life, always surrounded by loving family and dearest friends.
After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, Roberta entered the workforce and eventually rose to be a high-level manager at Schweber Electronics, where she spent many years. While she was proud of this achievement, her favorite titles were most certainly devoted Wife, Mom, Nanny, Grandma, and Gigi. There was nothing she loved more than the time spent with her family, and she took great joy in making holidays at her home and seeing all her favorite people around her table. She cherished all of the big family celebrations, but was also a constant presence at sporting events, dance recitals, graduations, and anything that was important to those she loved.
Roberta truly lit up every room she walked into and was viewed by those who knew her as elegant, classy, loving, generous, fun, and one who was always ready to enjoy a glass of wine or a martini. She loved traveling, Broadway Theatre, great restaurants, and was always up on the latest trends.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert, who passed away after 60 wonderful years of marriage.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving children, Hillary Feldman and her husband Jim, and her sons, Craig Wilson and his wife Cheryl, and Andrew Wilson and Lisa Hodes. She also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, Brooke Poller and her husband Alan, Michael Feldman and his wife Jaime, Daniel Feldman and his wife Amanda, Adam Wilson, and Heather Pratt and her husband Harry. She was so grateful to live long enough to enjoy her ten great-grandchildren, Sophie, Reid, Liv, Stella, Baylee, Lennox, Addison, Colton, Brayden, and Kailee.
A private Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025. The family will also be having a celebration of her life for those who wish to attend on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 5:30-9:30pm at the residence of Brooke and Alan Poller.
Should you wish to honor Roberta’s memory, please consider a memorial contribution to the charitable organization of your choice.
