Samuel Tauster, 84, passed away on April 5, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sylvia, his two daughters; Pamela Press and her husband, Stefan, and Michele Mosera and her husband, Vinnie, and his grandchildren; Geoffrey Press, Ricky Mosera and his fiancé, Cait Cardinale, Skylar Press, Gina Melnick and her husband, Jordan, and Margo Press.
Samuel was a graduate of Columbia University and received his PhD in Chemistry from Brooklyn Polytech. He had a long successful career in chemistry and holds many patents in the field of catalysis. After retiring, he moved to LBI and loved being at the beach with his family.
He was an avid tennis player, swimmer, pianist, chess player, animal lover and all around amazing person. He had a zest for life and will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
A graveside service will be held for Samuel on Sunday, April 7 at 12pm at Floral Park Cemetery, Dean’s NJ. Please gather at the cemetery office by 11:30 to process to the graveside with the family for the service at noon.
To honor Samuel's life, there will be a gathering at the Mosera residence immediately following the burial. In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to the ASPCA in Samuel’s name.
