It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Sandra Moskowitz, affectionately known as Sandy, who passed away peacefully at an assisted living facility in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
Sandy was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Martin; her son Saul and wife Monique; her daughter Jamie and husband Scott; and her five grandchildren: Justin, Amanda, Drew, Ryan, and Noah.
Sandy spent her professional life as both an elementary school teacher and a collections agent, touching lives with her patience, determination, and heart. A lifelong lover of games, Sandy found joy in everything from Mahjong and Bingo to countless mobile phone games. She proudly reached the pinnacle of her gaming adventures as a contestant on Wheel of Fortune, a memory that brought her—and everyone who knew her—so much joy.
A passionate sports fan, Sandy never missed a chance to cheer on her beloved New York Yankees. Her spirited enthusiasm was infectious, and her love of the game reflected the same loyalty and energy she brought to every part of her life.
If there’s one word that captures her spirit, it’s persistent. She had a quiet fire in her—one that never flickered, even when the winds of life tried to blow it out. She didn’t back down from challenges; she met them with steady resolve. Whether it was caring for those she loved, pursuing goals that others deemed too difficult, or simply standing firm in her values, she did it all with a determination that inspired everyone around her.
Sandy will be remembered for her sharp wit, kind heart, competitive spirit, and above all, her unwavering love for her family. Her presence lit up every room, and her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.
