Carolyn Martha McWade, 79, of St. Johns, FL, entered into eternal rest on July 21, 2014, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on May 8, 1935 in Manchester, NH, to the late Cornelia and George Wilson.
Carolyn was deeply passionate about politics, the environment and bridge. She regularly volunteered during elections and campaigns. Her many bridge friends will miss her wit and joy of the game. She spent her life traveling overseas with her husband and daughters. She was a fun loving, vivacious woman who treasured life, family and God. She cherished her church family and friends at Mandarin Presbyterian. Carolyn never met a stranger and will be immensely missed by all who knew her.
Carolyn is survived by her devoted daughters, Heather, Elizabeth, Jennifer and Victoria; sons-in-law, Chris, Mike and Kevin; grandchildren, Katie, Kyle, Tyler, Lauren, Danielle, Kelly and Sean and best friend Eileen Maillard. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Albert; son-in-law, Pete and her sister, Lois.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 25 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32223. The Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26 in Mandarin Presbyterian Church with Pastor Nels Falk officiating. A Committal Service was held on Tuesday July 29 at 11AM at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester, NH. Her family entrusted the McHugh Funeral Home with her local care.
