

Charles B. Morley, Sr., 71, of Manchester died November 7, 2011 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Manchester, he was born here on November 6, 1940 the son of the late Bartholomew and Isabella (Ryan) Morley.
He was educated in the parochial school system, graduating from St. Patrick Elementary and Bishop Bradley High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Plymouth Teachers College.
Mr. Morley was a teacher in the Manchester school system for 36 years, spending most of his time at Hallsville and later Bakersville schools prior to his retirement in 1999. For many years he served as the seasonal manager of Clough State Park in Weare and continued his work there until just after Labor Day this year.
He also had worked part time driving a shuttle van at the Elliot Hospital for over 11 years. He held membership in the National Association of Retired Teachers. Charlie loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known by his family as one who cared greatly for animals. Above all else he cherished his family as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Martha (Delmege) Morley of Manchester; a daughter Kelly Boynton and her husband Todd of Rocklin, CA; a son Charles B. “Chip” Morley Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Bedford; two granddaughters and two grandsons as well as several nieces and a nephew. He was pre deceased by his brother Jeremiah Morley.
Calling hours were on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in the Parish of the Transfiguration, corner of Kelley and Alsace Sts. Cremation followed.
