Claire M. Cere Fugere

Claire M. Fugere, 77, of Manchester, departed for her heavenly home on July 11, 2014. She was born in Manchester on July 27, 1936 the daughter of Arthur and Cecile (Drolet) Cere and was a lifelong resident of the Queen City and was educated in the local system. She was employed for many years as an accountant with Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

Claire loved the extensive travel that being a military wife afforded her. She enjoyed playing cards & games and immensely enjoyed her Friday Night Fellowship Group. She spent her winters in Florida and was a member of the Family Oasis Worship Center in St. Petersburg, FL. She was also a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Auburn.

Members of her family include her two daughters, the Rev. Dr. Sandra Hansee and her husband Gary of Brodnax, VA, and Joyce Colby of Manchester, her two sons James Fugere and Joseph Fugere both of Manchester, her seven grandchildren Shannon Wilson and her husband Travis of Brodnax, VA, Deney Morganthal and his wife Amy of No. Andover, MA, Joshua Colby and his wife Jessica, Jacob Colby, Matthew Colby, Kyle Fugere and Rylee Fugere all of Manchester, eight great-grandchildren Kylee Lawson, Tanner Lawson, Samuel Wilson, Keagan Morganthal, Jaben Morganthal, Braelyn Morganthal, Mya Colby and Lacey Colby, her sisters Dot Zavinsky, Estelle Fournier and Christine Fugere and her husband Joseph, her brothers Robert Cere and his wife Jean and Joseph Cere and his wife Rita of Rochester, NY, special nieces Michelle Drolette and Melody Fugere and her treasured sister-in-law Maryland Fugere. She had many longtime treasured friends including Robert and Georgette Beaudet, Pauline Morin, Paul and Claire Brassard, patricia McGuigan, Monique and Eddie St. Germain, Percy and George Vincent, Peggy Gagnon and Fay Auger. She was predeceased by her brother Emile Cere.

There were no calling hours. A Memorial Service was celebrated on Thursday July 17 at 10AM at the First Assembly of God Church 45 Myles Dr. Auburn, NH. Urn burial will be at a later date. The family has entrusted the McHugh Funeral Home with her care.
