

She has resided in Manchester all her life and was the widow of Germain W. “Blackie” Moreau who died in 1994.
Mrs. Moreau was employed for many years as a factory worker at Manchester Hosiery and later at St. Anselm College as a seamstress until her retirement.
The family includes two sons, Donald Moreau and his wife Diane of Manchester and David Moreau and his wife Susan of Bedford; three daughters, Diane Lamy and her husband Raymond of Bedford, Denise Hammer and her husband Don of Litchfield and Pauline Riley and her husband Frank of Northfield; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters. Lauretta Dow of Concord, Rachel Volkmann of Goffstown and Muriel Tela of Hollywood, FL. She was pre deceased by a brother Paul Potvin Jr.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, August 27th from 5 to 8 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 28th at 10:30 AM in St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St. Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Anselm College, c/o College Advancement, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester, NH 03102, in memory of Claire Moreau will be used to purchase a granite bench. Please make checks payable to Saint Anselm College and note Moreau Memorial Bench.
