Joseph N. Marcotte, 75, of Hooksett died July 25, 2014 at the Community Hospice house in Merrimack after a short Illness. He was born in Roxbury, MA on November 27, 1938 the son of Joseph and Ethel (Smith) Marcotte. He grew up in Roxbury, was educated in the local school system and also lived in Dorchester and Quincy before relocating to Hooksett in 1984.
Joe was employed as a forms expeditor for John Hancock Insurance Co. and also as a monitor for STS Transportation. He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Members of his family include his wife of 54 years Henrietta (McDermott) Marcotte and his son Geroge Marcotte both of Hooksett.
He was predeceased by his sister Frances Marcotte, his half-brother George Ware and his half-sister Lillian Sullivan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 31 from 4 to 7PM at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 6PM in the funeral home.
