

Lester “Spike” T. Riley, Sr., 72, of Manchester died June 30, 2011 at Hanover Hill Healthcare Center. He was born in Manchester on October 6, 1938, the son of the late Earl and Edith (Emery) Riley, Sr.
A lifelong resident of Manchester, he was educated in the local school system. +Prior to his retirement Spike had been employed as a truck driver for Dead River Oil Co. Since his retirement he has worked for Auto Parts International.
He enjoyed softball and golf but above all else, he cherished his family and was known by all as one who would do anything for anybody.
Members of the family include a daughter, Jo-Ann Lambert of Manchester; three sons, Les Riley and his wife Lisa of Candia, Keith Riley and his wife Steffanie of Manchester and Stephan Riley and his fiancée Deidre, of Manchester; grandchildren Nicole McGlynn of Coral Springs, FL, RyanMae McGlynn of Manchester, Shane Riley of Candia, Lily Riley of Manchester and Ellis Feliz of Manchester; a great granddaughter Kaelianna Cruz of Manchester; four sisters, Lee Archambault of Nashua, Patricia Comer of Manchester, Rita Hamel of Hooksett and Fran Philibotte of Manchester; three brothers, Webster “Mike” Riley of Bedford, Guy Riley of Manchester and Bruce Riley of Cape Coral, FL; many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two sisters, Edith Riley and Bette Trombly and two brothers, Earl Riley Jr. and Reginald “Sip” Riley.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm during the calling hours. Rev. John Routos will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Spike’s name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 814 Elm St., Suite 300, Manchester NH 03101-2230.
