Marian L. Ciechon

Marian L. Ciechon, 95, of Bedford passed away June 2, 2011 at the Hillsborough County Home in Goffstown after an extended period of failing health. She was born in Brockton, MA on July 31, 1915 and had resided in Hooksett and Bedford for most of her life.

Prior to her retirement she had worked for several companies including Amoskeag Lawrence Co., Manchester Knitted Fashions, the John A. Connare Tire Co. and Kmart.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Mathew Ciechon, Sr. on September 13, 1988.

Cherished as an independent lady by her family, she loved sewing and in her earlier years, tending to her garden.

Members of the family include a son, Mathew Ciechon of Bedford; two daughters, Dorothy Patton and Margaret Cavallaro, both of Florida; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a daughter Norma Gancarz.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM in St. Hedwig Church, corner of Orange and Beech Sts. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford.
