Nancy M. Casey, 70, passed away suddenly at her residence Tuesday morning. She was born in Manchester to William and Katherine Barrett. She attended local schools and was a 1964 graduate of Keene State College, where she majored in Elementary Education.
Nancy spent her professional career teaching special needs. After devoting 35 years to Manchester students, many at Bakersville School, she retired in 1998.
Nancy was a devoted educator and a loving wife who adored her niece, nephew and their families. She enjoyed golf and was an avid bowler, enjoying the competition and comraderie of her team mates.
She is survived by her husband James; her stepson Brian and niece Lynn Casey and nephew Patrick Barrett and their children.
There are no services scheduled at this time. The McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
