

Norma E. Gilman, 91, of Manchester died May 7, 2012 at the Elliot Hospital after a period of failing health. A lifelong resident of Manchester, she was born here on May 20, 1920 the daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Roberge) Gilman.
She was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of West High School. Norma was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Women's Army Corps (WACS). She worked as a hostess at the former Holiday Inn and prior to her retirement in 1975 was employed as a paste-up and ruling artist by Moore Business Forms.
She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church and was a member of the Heel & Toe Square Dance Club.
Family members include a daughter, Sherry Provost of Allenstown, a son, Ronald Bunie and his wife Elaine of Weare, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Cleo Smith and two brothers Charles Gilman and Richard Gilman.
Calling hours were held on Thursday May 10, 2012 from 4 to 7 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday May 11, 2012 at 10 AM in St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Rd. Burial with military honors followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Norma’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
