Rita was born in Manchester NH on June 17, 1947, to Marcel and Laurette (Neveu) Labrie. She lived and worked in the Manchester and Auburn areas all of her life. In addition to an earlier career in electronics, Rita worked more recently for the Elliot Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) as a Licensed Nursing Assistant for several years.
To know Rita was to love her and her kind, caring heart. One of her greatest pleasures was chatting with family and friends as well as getting to know people she just met and learning all about them. She loved to laugh and would even laugh heartily at herself. She was a talented seamstress and crafter and very intrigued by true crime forensics.
She loved her family beyond measure, especially her daughter, sister and granddaughter. She was a lover of cats and pet parent for many throughout her life, most recently her funny Persian cat named Gizmo.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Scott Lacz. She will be greatly missed by daughter, Cherie Yamamoto and husband, Wayne; companion, friend and former husband, Robert Lacz; sister, Claire Bartlett and husband, Kevin; and granddaughter, Angela Daly. Rita also leaves several cousins and friends.
At Rita’s request, no public services will be held. A private remembrance was held for close family and friends at McHugh Funeral Home in Manchester NH.
