

Robert C. Wilcox, Sr., 68, formerly of Rumney, NH died March 12, 2012 at the Elliot Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Manchester on October 5, 1943, the son of the late Warren and Catherine (Enwright) Wilcox.
He was raised and educated in Manchester and after attending Central High School was among the first graduates of Memorial High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was employed by Pandora Industries for 15 years and later at Lakeside Lanes for more than 23 years. He has resided in Rumney for the past 6 years.
Bob helped his son build his log cabin home in Rumney and enjoyed solving puzzles and the su/do/ku puzzle in the Union Leader. Above all else, he loved and cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately knew him as “Papa”.
Family members include a daughter, Tracey E. Wilcox of Manchester; a son, Robert C. Wilcox, Jr. and his wife Laurie of Rumney, NH; five grandchildren, Brendan Desrochers, Nicole Wilcox, Tessa Birmingham, Tara Birmingham and Toni Pinciaro; two great grandchildren, Damien Quiroga and Cameron Desrosiers; two sisters, Beverly Robitaille and Judy Beauchesne, both of Manchester; a brother, Joseph Wilcox of Manchester; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Warren Wilcox Jr. and a nephew Paul Robitaille.
A memorial reception was held on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A Celebration of Life Ceremony was held at 7 PM. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Speare Memorial Hospital, 16 Hospital Road, Plymouth, NH 03264.
