Thomas J. Connolly, 86, died July 9, 2011 at the Hillsborough County Home after a period of failing health. He was born in Manchester on November 22, 1924, the son of the late Thomas and Delia (Flynn) Connolly.
A resident of Manchester all of his life, he graduated from the McDonald School and attended Central High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Prior to retirement in 1986, he was employed as a trackman by the Boston & Maine Railroad for 43 years. Mr. Connolly was a member of the brotherhood of Maintenance of Ways, the Ukraine Club and the Irish-American Club.
He is survived by several dear friends including Tina Sampson, Steve Larkin and James Triantafillou.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, private urn burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
