Angel, also affectionately known as "Gelo" or "Uncle Luis" and his wife Gloria, were married in 1956. Gloria was a Nurse, and he worked as a cardiovascular pulmonary surgeon's assistant for several years at the Veterans’ Hospital in New York City, NY when he retired.
Angel and Gloria first lived in the South Bronx, then in Queens, and later settled in Lakewood, NJ after they retired. Unfortunately, Gloria passed away on April 15, 2018. He then moved to Fredericksburg, VA in late October 2021.
Angel will be mourned by his 3 sons and their wives - Angel Jr. and Margaret Ramos, Carlos Ramos and Julie Segal, Allen and Yolanda Ramos; grandchildren - Noa, Antonia / Allen Jr., Quinten, and Josiah; his siblings - Adria La Cruz, Alberto Gonzalez, Noemi Schnell and Litzaa Tedesco; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759, on Sunday March 10, 2024, from 2 to 6 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 11th with committal and military honors to follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
