Barbara McGarry, (nee Ihle) of Manchester, N.J. a beloved wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many passed away peacefully on November 26th. She was born and raised in Seaford, Long Island where in her early years she found success in and developed a lifelong love of the dramatic arts. She ultimately choose a career as a Speech Pathologist, earning a Master’s Degree along with advanced certifications and a number of professional publications. She was a resolute advocate for her many students. Her greatest achievement, however, was found in her unwavering support, love, and encouragement for those she loved. Those who truly knew her were made better from the experience, and their hearts were made light and happy to have known her. Barbara is survived by her adoring husband, Dr. John McGarry, loving son Thomas, brothers Charles and Daniel and many other extended family members. Donations in her name may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center. A memorial service and celebration of life is planned for the early part of 2025.
