

Carol was born on October 12, 1942 to the late Fred McCormick and Rose (Summerall) Solomon in Philadelphia, PA. Carol was predeceased by her one and only sister Margaret Goodwin (Arthur).
Carol grew up in Hempstead, NY where she attended grade school and graduated from Hempstead High School, Hempstead, NY in 1961. She later moved to Manchester NJ where she worked for the Manchester Township Board of Education and then the Ocean County Board of Social Services as a Senior Clerk Typist, where she retired after 30 years of service in 2007.
Carol was blessed with four children, Babe Antonio (“Tony” NJ), Dolly (“Neicy” MD), Gail (NJ) & Carita (NJ).
Carol was truly loved by all her family and friends. Her caring and giving spirit touched many who she came in contact with. Ms./Aunt Carol’s house was the place to go when you needed a place to sleep or needed a warm meal. Whatever God blessed Carol with she had no problem being a blessing to those who were in need. She would give you her last without expecting anything in return. She had faith that God was always going to make a way. She believed in working hard to get what you want.
Carol will be missed by everyone. She leaves to cherish her memory, her four children, seven grandchildren, Jasmine, Chantay, Jaron, Kenny, Tony, Lawrence (LJ) & Londyn, six great-grandchildren, Jah’Fee, Roshanna, Siera, Jariah, Jah’Nia, Ja’Ni. She dearly admired John McCormick, her #1 as she affectionately called him. She is also survived by her companion of over 40 years James Bellamy, her loving Aunt Vivian Robinson, Hempstead, NY and cousin Margie Faye Leonard, Newark, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to the Visitation from 10 am- 12 pm with a Funeral Service to start at 12 pm, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ.
