

Born in Newark, NJ, on August 29, 1949, Eddie lived a life marked by dedication, quiet strength, and a deep appreciation for the open road and the tranquility of nature. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
For 30 years, Eddie worked as a mechanic at Pine Belt Chevrolet in Lakewood, NJ, where he was a respected and valued member of the team. His passion for classic Chevrolet cars was evident, especially in his love for his prized 1955 Chevy Bel Air.
Beyond his career, Eddie found joy in RV camping, exploring new landscapes, and creating lasting memories with his family, particularly his grandchildren. He embraced life’s simple pleasures and will be remembered for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and the twinkle in his eye when speaking about his passions.
Eddie was predeceased by his siblings Nancy Apgar, Charles Goetchius, and James Goetchius. He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine, his stepdaughter, Kimberly Ahart, and her husband, Don, and his cherished grandchildren, Avery and Austen.
A viewing for Edward will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ 08759. Burial will take place on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, 11am, at St. Mary's Cemetery, 283 Beachview Ave., Manahawkin, NJ. Condolences and tributes for the Goetchius family can be left on this website.
