Chickie was a secretary for Lehman Brothers in NYC for 30 years before retiring. She was an avid card player, and she loved to knit and fish. .
Mrs. Doonan is survived by John, her beloved husband of 55 years; a brother, Kenneth Finnety of Staten Island; and two sisters, Arlene Plew of Ohio and Sister Mary Kenneth of Staten Island. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am at St. John’s Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut St., Lakehurst. Cremation will be private.
