

Inocencio Padilla, 91, of Sunset Beach, N.C. and Jackson went home to Our Lord Sun., Aug. 21. Born in San German, Puerto Rico, he resided and worked in New York City as a doorman for 37 years before retiring to Florida in 1985. He returned to live in Jackson in 1998 where he attended Jackson Baptist Church as well as Canaan Christian Church in Jackson. In 2007 he relocated with his daughter and son-in-law to Sunset Beach, N.C. He was an accomplished handyman and gardener. Inocencio "Chencho" was also a devoted family man who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by Judy, his beloved wife of 64 years in 2004. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Ida and Joseph Zizwarek of Sunset Beach, N.C.; two brothers, Marcial Padilla of Bethlehem, PA and Max Padilla of Puerto Rico; three grandchildren, Gina Zizwarek, Joseph and Natasha Zizwarek and Michelle and Maurice Wells; and seven great-grandchildren, Angela, Madeline, Nicholas, Mason, Miranda, Moriah, and Miriel.
Visitation will be from 3 pm to 5:30 pm, Wed. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 pm Wed. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Red Cloud Indian School, c/o Father Peter Klink, Pine Ridge, S.D. 57770 or to the American Indian Relief Council, Program of National Relief Charities, P.O.
