
Joseph A. Clemente, 93 of Manchester, NJ, passed away on Friday November 14, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Lanoka Harbor before moving to Cedar Glen West section of Manchester in 1986. Joseph was an Army veteran of WWII, awarded the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal. He worked as a butcher for Mulberry Market in Brick, NJ for 10 years before retiring in2004. Joseph was a member of the Knights of Columbus John Hughes Council in Brooklyn, Italian Club in Lacey, The Birds of Cedar Glen West and was a parishioner of Saint John’s Church where he was an usher.
Joseph was predeceased by his sons Dominick, Joseph and Nicholas. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Rose (nee Trimboli) Clemente, his children Benedetto Caruso and his wife Josephine and Rose Mary Messina and her husband Robert, his brother and sister; Mario Clemente and Carmela Anzolone, his 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at 12 pm on Friday November 21, 2014 at Saint John’s Church, 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst, NJ 08733. Burial with Military to follow at the Brig. Gen WC Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery. Please visit www.andersoncampbellmanchester.com
