

Lloyd C. Elliott, 83, of Manchester, NJ, passed away on Monday June 6, 2011 at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home, in Edison. Born in West New York, NJ, Lloyd resided for over 40 years in Oradell before moving to the Renaissance in Manchester 8 years ago. He was a Marine Corps Veteran who served in WWII. Lloyd worked for the Oradell Police Dept. for many years and was a volunteer for the Oradell Fire Dept for 10 years. Lloyd along with his wife Isabell, owned and operated Lloyd’s Deli in Oradell for 14 years. He was a past president of the River Dell Board of Education and a member of the Oradell American Legion and the Lion’s Club. Lloyd was also a member of the Men’s club and Bergen & Essex club, both in the Renaissance.
Lloyd is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Isabell (Pepe) Elliott, his two sons, Larry Elliott of Stewart, FL and Brian Elliott of London, his niece Lesley Goddin and two nephews Douglas Jones and Kenneth Jones.
Viewing will be on Friday June 10, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday June 11, at 10 am, at Saint Joseph’s RC Church, 300 Elm Street, Oradell, NJ 07649. Interment to follow, with Military Honors, at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lloyd’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
