Lucia J. Astuto, born on August 4, 1946, in and a resident of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 79. She moved to Toms River, New Jersey, 3 years ago. She worked as an insurance adjuster for US Aviation Underwriters in New York City, NY. Lucy enjoyed watching murder mysteries, including Columbo and Murder She Wrote, and she was known as the Cat Lady of Cornerstone.
Lucia was predeceased by her parents, Natale and Mary Astuto. She is survived by her brother Emanuel and her nephews, as well as her cat Pumpkin.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, located at 30 Schoolhouse Rd, Manchester Township, NJ, 08759, United States. The service is scheduled for December 18, 2025, to start at 10:45 am, with her ashes to be places in her niche immediately following the mass.
