Martha A. Nordham, 83, of Manchester died Monday, Jan. 16 at home. Born in Welch, West Virginia, she lived in Waldwick, New Jersey before moving to Manchester in 1987. Martha was a graduate of West Virginia University where she met her beloved husband and best friend John whom she married in 1953. She was a member of the Leisure Village West Kiwanis, the Deborah LVW Chapter and the LVW Garden Club. A loving wife and doting grandmother, Martha was always cheerful. She dealt with her illness with courage and dignity.
Mrs. Nordham is survived by her loving husband, John R. Nordham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas B. and Gretchen Nordham of Boulder, CO and David J. and Ruth Nordham of Newtown, PA ; and a daughter and son-in-law, Diane F. and David Messing of Chicago, IL; and 6 grandchildren. Also surviving are a niece and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 10am at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in her memory to a preferred charity.
