Peter D'Amore

Peter D'Amore, age 91, of Eatontown, New Jersey passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025. Born and raised in Mola Di Bari, Italy Peter came to the United States in 1956 and lived in Jackson Heights, NY. After meeting his wife Frances, they moved to Woodcliff Lake, NJ , and lived there for many years before moving to the Renaissance in Manchester in 2015.

Peter worked as a mechanical engineer for AGFA Corp., Ridgefield Park, NJ, for 43 years before retiring in 1999. While living in Woodcliff Lake, Peter was a member of the Woodcliff Lake Volunteer Fire Department, and served as the chief for 3 years. He was a member of the NJ Fire Chiefs' Association, NJ State Firemen's Association, the volunteer Police Reserve and the Civil Defense Director. Once he moved to the Renaissance, Peter was in charge of the Maintenance Dept, a member of the of the Clubhouse Committee a longtime member of the Men's Club and the chairman of the Green Committee (Solar Panel Installation). He and Frances enjoyed going on cruises. Peter enjoyed watching soccer, especially the Italian National Team and playing the accordion. But what he enjoyed the most was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild.

Peter was predeceased by his loving wife Frances (2024), and his brothers, giovanni and Vito. He is survived by his daughter and son; Mary Frances D'Amore and Peter D. D'Amore and his wife Mary, his granddaughters; Alyssa and Jennifer Esposito, and great grandson Lorenzo , as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation for Peter on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 2 to 6 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, NJ 08759. Entombment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Peter's memory to the Woodcliff Lake Volunteer Fire Department, 180 Pascack Road, Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677.
