Robert D. Vance, 87, of Toms River, formerly of Manchester, NJ, passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2020, at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in Aurora, IL, Robert had resided in Endicott, NY, before moving to Manchester in 2010, and then to Toms River 3 years ago. He had worked as an Investment Officer for Prudential Insurance Co. in Newark, NJ and Columbian Mutual Life Insurance Co., Endicott, NY, for many years before retiring. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1959. Robert was an elder in the Protestant Church where he also mentored teenagers from 1995-2003
Robert is survived by his wife Helen Vance, and cousins Pamela Dillon, Jane Zanni and Maureen Markham.
Services are private and under the direction of the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Manchester, NJ.
