We are sad to announce that Bob passed away on August 27, 2023 from an alligator bite. Yes, I’m joking.. as we all know he had a practically lifelong battle with complicated medical issues but if he could tell the story he’d stick with the battle with the gator. As he would always tell any kids that asked about the port in his arm, that an alligator had bit him, so we’ll stick with that.. and it sounds like it was a pretty big one too.

To say Bob was a hard worker, is a huge understatement. He worked for Laurelton Welding in Point Pleasant for 45 years as a Marine Welder, making many friends along those years.

Although he could usually be found doing some kind of work, his proudest memories involved those spent with family & close friends. Camping, day trips, crabbing, & canoeing are among some of those fond moments.

He had a love for history, museums, trains, a good yard sale, animals and dry sarcasm.

He was a beloved friend, father, grandfather, a brother, a son, a companion, an Uncle, and a role model to many… but to those that truly knew him, he was a Superhero. He fought a good fight and went out swinging. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children Crystal and her husband Ken and their children Andrew, Patrick, Kevin & Chloe.

Cliff and his wife Patty and their children Eric, Caitlyn & Patrick.

Robert Jr, his wife Sheryl and their children Riley, Amelia, Shane, & Bryce.

Roy and his wife Judy,

Priscilla, and his ex-wife and friend Robin.

Adopted daughters Sandra (Cinderella) and her children Neveah, Adriana, & Micheal. And Devyani and her children Jacob, Devin & his BFF Aiden. Also two great-grandchildren Payton and Maya and many other friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family that shared space in his heart.

A celebration of his life memorial will be held on Saturday, September 9th at Manchester firehouse, 545 Commonwealth Blvd., Manchester, NJ from 2pm-6pm.
