
Ada 'Frances' Rieder Hunter, 83, of Mifflin Care Center, Mansfield died Wednesday, January 31, 2001 after an extended illness. Mrs. Hunter was born November 7, 1917 in Holmesville, Ohio to Cyrus W. & Mary Ethel Kithcart Rieder. She was a lifetime honorary member of the Mansfield Senior High Athletic Boosters Club and the Mansfield Fire Fighters Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Louise Hunter of Mansfield and Robert & Jean Hunter of Galion; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marjorie & Al Salas and Mary Hunter all of Ontario; a daughter-in-law, Betty Hunter of Warren, OH; a sister and a brother-in-law, Norma & Don Stake of Mansfield; a brother, Garold Rieder of St. Petersburg, FL; a longtime friend for 60 years, Elizabeth Wagenhals; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, Mrs. Hunter considered each and everyone very special. She is preceded in death by her husband, Orin S. Hunter; a son, John 'Tom' Hunter; a sister, Pearl Berlo and four brothers, Cyrus, Earl, Harold and Kenneth Rieder.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday, February 4, 2001 from 2-5 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Al Salas of the Maranatha Bible Baptist Church and Pastor Doyle Peyton of The Westwood Alliance Church. Burial will be held at Mansfield Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, The Alzheimer's Association or The Maranatha Bible Church.
