Agnes R. Oswalt, 72, of Mansfield died September 11, 2001. Agnes passed away Tuesday morning, she had received a heart transplant 14 years ago. She was born May 3, 1929, in Missouri to Ernest and Leona Barr Hedrick. She was employed with American Electric. Agnes was an avid Bingo player.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, Ray Oswalt, she is survived by two daughters and one son, Sandra Gee of Charleston, South Carolina, Carol and Gary Bays of Mansfield, and Frank and Ethel Oswalt of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Edward Hedrick of Wisconsin, Darrel Hedrick of Missouri, and Robert and Gary Hedrick of Mansfield; and three sisters, Donna Dunlap and Delphine Seiger, both of Missouri, and Ruby Hedrick of Mansfield. Her parents, Ernest and Leona Hedrick, brothers, Eddie and David Hedrick and sisters, Annie, Imogene and Joyce all preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home, Friday at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Mike Wilson. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
