Alex Volk

Alex D. Volk, 24, of Tiffin, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Mercy Hospital in Tiffin. Born September 21, 1982 in Longview, Texas, he was the son of Dieter John and Ute Trautmann Volk. He worked at Seneca Environmental Products. Alex was a caring, giving man, and his twin boys were the light of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Erika K. Schneider Volk; twin sons, Adrian Michael and Gabriel Harold Volk; parents, Dieter John and Ute T. Volk of Mansfield; paternal grandparents, Michael and Helen Volk of Mansfield; maternal grandmother, Barbara Byron of Lexington; mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Sarah Earhart of Tiffin; father-in-law, Anthony Schneider of Mansfield; two brothers and sister-in-law, Eric M. and Annalea Volk of Mansfield, and Kurt D. Volk of Dallas, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Michael Schneider, and Victor Earhart, both of Lexington; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church conducted by Father Joe Kannaphuza. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to drug and alcohol abuse programs.
